Content is STILL King

What is your “why”, and how do you tell your story? Your verbal content is just as important as what you put out in your marketing materials, digital and social outlets. 

Do you have your content strategy for 2020 started? We can help, starting with a high level strategy and creating a detailed content calendar that aligns to the strategy. Social media, blog posts, trade show pieces – all should align to the strategy for a consistent message. 

Analyze, then go for the deep dive

Are you taking advantage of all the free tools at your disposal like Google Analytics and Google Search Console? Is there a new tactic or strategy you should be testing? Are all aspects of your business working together like a well oiled machine? 

The average American spends 2 hours and 22 minutes per day on social platforms (gasp). How’s that for a rabbit hole?  If there is time for that, you can certainly make some time for a deep dive into your business and the analytics that drive your day to day. 

Once you understand the analytics, take it a step further! 

  • Re-evaluate your audience. Has it changed? Are your assumptions correct? What has changed since last year? What’s stayed the same? 
  • Extra credit: Dedicate some time each day to learning something new about your industry, or the interests of your target audience(s). 
  • Read white papers from other businesses in (and out) of your field. What’s working for them?
  • Find a new marketing podcast, and start listening! Need recommendations? Just ask us!

Turn planning into action

Now it’s time to turn all of your hard work into something you can use. Look for trends, outliers, big successes and big failures. Each one can teach you something and guide your 2020 plan to be more strategic.
