As we enter a new decade, it is especially important for us at The Markey Group to create less waste and reduce single-use plastic.
As we began to research what this means for our company, we quickly learned that this is a large priority for many others, as well. This is evidenced by the single-use plastic bag ban put in place by eight states—California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New York, Oregon and Vermont. Even Cuyahoga County, where we are located, has started a ban, which is intended to reduce plastic litter in the waterways, protect wildlife and keep storm drains clear of obstructions.
By reducing the need for plastic bags, bag bans create an immediate need for reusable shopping bags. This increased demand creates a market for brands like yours to create more durable alternatives for your employees, prospects and clients.
