A recent study, conducted by ASI, shows that promotional products are the most highly regarded form of advertising.
Promotional items are followed by newspaper, radio, magazine, television and then internet advertising.
Most interesting to us though, is that when consumers were asked which types of advertising they like best, those ages 18-55 ALL said they prefer promotional products. We all know that everyone likes to get something for free, and this study sure drives that point home!
Here are a few other stats that came from this survey:
- 85% of consumers remember advertisers that gave them a piece of branded apparel
- Consumers are nearly 2.5x more likely to have a positive opinion of promotional products compared to other advertising
- Average promotional items are kept for 8 months, with some items even longer (such as umbrellas, drinkware and outerwear)
- The most influential promotional item for people ages 18-44 is apparel
This data proves that promotional products are a very important component of your marketing strategy!
